Welcome to the School of Language, Culture, and Society, home to Anthropology, Ethnic Studies, Foreign Languages and Literatures, and Women Studies. Formed in 2010 as part of the University’s strategic realignment, the School of Language, Culture, and Society offers undergraduate majors in Anthropology, Ethnic Studies, French, German, Spanish, and Women Studies, as well as an MA and PhD in Applied Anthropology and an MA in Contemporary Hispanic Studies. All four disciplines participate in the Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (MAIS) program, offering primary and secondary areas in various subfields.
